IF IT'S A SALTWATER BEACH, THATS A WHOLE DIFFRENT ANIMAL. I SUGGEST YOU CALL TOM @ TOMSDETECTORS. HE CAN EXPLAIN THAT PROBLEM BETTER THAN ANYONE.  GOOD LUCK!

I was at myrtle beach for the week, never could get it to work right.... but thanks anyway, I never even thought to call Tom.... duh !!!

never called him... wont be going back till next year so ive got plenty of time to figure it out... maybe by then ill have a beach machine cause i like to hunt water areas around here also....

One of the first things to try is reducing the sensituvity.  If you were hunting in the dry sand you should not have had any probelm.  The wet sand and especially the surf line can cause erratic behavior.
