The sign ups for a DIV hunt in October at Stoneman's Switch. It will be October 13,14 and 15. Now this is NOT the main fall hunt. This hunt is mainly for pit diggers. The main fall hunt will be in November and will be about 300 people. If you would like to do some pit digging then go to mytreasurespot.com and sign up. Sign ups will be taken until 6pm July 9.

I don't know if anyone from the club is going but I thought I would post to let everyone know. This is by invintation only. You have to register that you want to go and then you have to wait and see if you get selected. Also if you don't get selected you have to keep watching the site to see if your name gets added to the list later. This is just a special hunt for pit diggers. The regular larger DIV fall hunt will be in November. I still don't know if I will go to that one or wait for the better one in March. Now if the hunt is at the last place we hunted earlier this year at Brandy Station I will be going back for sure. There was so much land that did not get hunted it would be like hunting a virgin site again. If you want to go to the pit digging hunt ..... sign up and see if you get selected.

Pit digging is where the camps were. They actually dug a pit into the ground about a foot or 2 and built a tent or shelter over it.

Hey Beatngu, next time I get to go out I will call u and see if u can get away for awhile. I don't know your schedule and mine is so scrambled I never know for sure when I am going to get a chance so I don't do much planning. I know for sure though I am going back to the school I was at today. I was just too tired to hunt it good plus I didn't have enough time. There has too be some silver there plus some more jewelry as I only covered the tot lot and a small portion of the ground near the school itself. PM me with your number and schedule when you get a chance.
