Pull Tab Jamboree......

I've got a quirky idea. We all hunt seperatly or in our own small groups, and we all find ''pull tabs''. We gripe and complain about them, and then stick them into our ''reject pouche''. Here's the deal..... during the month of Oct. who ever finds the most ''pull-tabs'', dirty, muddy or distorted, will win a $25 prize! Surface, or shiny tabs will be rejected. It all benefits the club, but dirty tabs win.

Oh, btw.... don't combine what you alresdy have with this hunt, this is supposed to be a new hunt.

Does this include the old Beaver Tail pull tabs too?  This could be interesting, didn't think I would ever get excited about digging and Finding a pull tab!

Yes, Mike, it does. If it's a pull tab, and you ''dig'' it in Oct. it counts.

Here we are, night two, and no taker's other than Mike. Wow, since the over powering wins Monday night, it looks like everyone has that ''deer in the headlights'' look. Come on guy's, it just a little contest, finding and keeping what we all find.... pull tabs. These little ''loathsom'' tidbits will benefit the club, and maybe, if your not too proud, benefit you! No need to say Good Luck, there are plenty of tab's to be had!!

we dig ever thing and we keep ever thing a little more cash for X MAS but all on hold for now we got out for a ride today on the 4=wheeler found another old house place well it look good so far we know there were one there rocks don't lie

First time out for this contest managed about 25 to 30 pull tabs.  They usually go in the trash can there in the park but not now!  Nice contest Scruch.  I'd hate to be the one who has to count all these things when it's over.

I won't be counting those. They will be washed down, and then weighed.

Found 2 yesterday while walking and 1 today. Someday when I get to go hunting I will rack up.

Remember guy's..... if they are shiney or new, they will be disqualified. Only ''DUG'' tabs are in the running! New tabs go to the club...... Old tabs pay you!

Ok folks, we are now 10 days into Oct. and I hear many are keeping those ''rascal tabs'', and wondering what to do with them once the month is over. Here's the deal...... put them in a bag, plastic or what ever, bring them to the Nov. meeting with your name on it. I will take them, clean them, and then weigh them. Who ever has the heaviest bag,........ WINS. An easy $25.00! Afterward, I will post the winner on the Forums under Special and Important Notices. So, to find out, you'll have to log on, and hopefully, surf the other categories as well. :-)))) Just keep digging.... it's all good!

It's now close to the middle of the month..... so, how much weight in tabs do you think you have? A little ''trash talk'' about now would be good.... considering it's all about ''trash''!!!!

I know they don't weigh very much so I have no idea as to what weight I have.  I do know that the older park near work here has paid off pretty good in old beaver tails.  Before the last meeting I thought I would go out to the local baseball fields and load up on some new style pulltabs but much to my surprise I only found 4.  Go figure!  I did manage about $6 in clad so all was not lost.  We'll keep digging !

That's funny.... when we want good target's, we get tabs and slaw. Now when we want tabs, we get $6 bucks. Go fig-ur.

Well since I have been able to only hunt one time my total is pretty small. With all the dirt on them I figure about 5 or 6 pounds is about right. By the way Scruch if the can is still attached to the tab we get to count it in on the weight also don't we?
