I was researching some old parks in the area and found one that dates back to the late 1800's so I thought today I was going to check it out. I did not have much time to hunt but I thought I would see what I could do for an hour. The park is about the size of a half city block and one side had a steep enbankment so that was where I went first. I figured there may have been houses along there at one time. I was finding a lot of trash which I expected but I was really only listening for the deep targets. I got a good penny signal about 8" and was pretty sure it was a wheat or indian head. Turned out to be a wheat. Only one I found in that short hour hunt. Also found a few dimes and a couple zincolns. The wheat turned out to be a 1945.
