Okay folks here is your chance to win before you can buy one, a brand new in the case 30x jeweler's loupe with Led light built in. Found a really good deal on these and I have several. I am going to give one away to the person who gives me the first correct answer or the closest answer either higher or lower. This time I am going to allow everyone who enters 2 guesses but both have to be in the same post. That doubles your chances of winning and if you are like me when I guess on an amount I usually have 2 numbers that pop into my head at the same time.

My total coin finds for 2011 were way way down compared to last year and the year before that and before that etc so I am going to post pictures of them. Your problem is to guess how many coins for 2011 there are total. Note pay attention to the pics. Discussion is encouraged. Contest will run for 3 weeks and prize will be presented to the winner at the Feb. meeting or will be mailed if the winner is out of state or lives over 50 miles away.. Now here is the twist. I am going to allow you to post twice and change one of your guesses from the first time. That is why I said discussion is encouraged. After guessing and then studying the photos and discussing them you might decide you need to change your guess. Well this time you can change one if you want too. Be careful though the one you change might have been a winner.

Contest starts on 1-6-12 and ends on 1-27-12. That will give me time to sort through the guesses and find the winner. Do not post guesses until 1-6-12.

Pictures of coins and loupe will be posted in a separate post. Encourage your friends to join the forums and submit their guesses also.

I am sorry, there were some problems and I did not get a chance to post the pictures. I will post today Saturday and extend it one day.

Okay folks here are the pictures. I am going to tell you right now that the small pile of pennies off to the side are all the wheats I found. It was too hard picking them out the first time around so there was no way I was pilling them back into the big piles. I also found5 dimes, 3 quarters, and 1 half in silver. They are not in the pile. The last tidbit of info is I found 11 tokens plus I took separate pictures of the pennies and the clads. Now look at the pics add everything up for your best guesses and let the fun begin. I hope you have as much fun guessing the total as I did in finding all of them!

Curly guess the total number of coins not the amount and you get 2 guesses to begin with plus you are allowed to change one of your guesses after you have thought about it for awhile.

Vision..... absolutely we'll share! We start sniffing at dawn, then snorting about noon, then we finish the day with some fresh mushroom's, followed by some fresh farva bean's! And the ''nightcap'', is a warmed Henessey..... umm, umm, good!!!

OK I have a question.  Is each picture a separate pile of coins?  A couple of the pics look the same just at a different zoom level.  I see two different piles of nickels, dimes, and quarters but only three different piles of pennies.  Is this correct or are all the coins to be counted in each picture?

There are three piles of coins to consider. 1 large of clad, 1 large of pennies, and 1 small one of pennies. I told you about the small pile of pennies add them into your total along with the other ones I mentioned. I was just trying to give you different perspectives of the piles. By the way where are you hiding? You have missed the last couple of meetings.

Okay,  There are 4 pictures, Guess the total of the 3 piles of coins total. Add in what is in my other post and give me your best guesses. Person closest to the total either higher or lower wins. Simple enough.

This is nut's..... how in the heck can you guess what's in multiple ''piles''.... it's all a set-up to fail. It's a rediculous guess.... so'oooo, maybe put them all together in one pile?
