found this at a old house place today had a little time out just got permission to hunt it down the mountain were I live just got a hour and a 1/2 today it is the size of a silver doll I don't know about relic hunting would like to try some would like to know what it is

GREAT FIND!!!!!!!

This exact same type of Rosette is pictured at the top of Civil War Artifacts/A Guide for the Historian by Howard R. Crouch on page 133, item 3.  The caption says it is a bridal rosette used on harnesses.  DON"T overclean it.  No toothbrushes, soap, etc...!

If I were you I wouldn't leave my mountain to hunt.

Looks like a U.S Army Lapel for Vietnam area uniform.  Thin and worn on one side of Collar with coat of Arms i.e. Infantry, Medical etc. on the other collar.
