Well, that isn't true either.  But what's a guy to do?

I am a newbie to all of this.  I am really looking forward to it.  I have been wanting to get into this for a while.  I started off with something kinda low end on a recommendation.  I just bought a Bounty Hunter Quick Draw II, so we will see how it goes!

I am also very interested in local history, so I am hoping these two hobbies will play well together.

Grew up in Montana, moved here with the Air Force in 97.  Currently work in Oak Ridge as a Media Producer for the Dept. of Energy and B&W.

I look forward to meeting you all!

Well Casey were glad to have you as a forum member. I look forward to seeing you post your finds and i wish you the best of luck. There are plenty of folks on here to go hunting with and there is a special place where you can post asking about anyone going hunting.

My wife works at ORNL SNS. She transferred from the US Navy to ORNL a couple years ago. You're in good company. I'm also pretty new at detecting. I've only been relic hunting for going on 2 years now.

Good Luck on your hunts.
