Dear Members, I thought I would tell you a little about myself,
I am Albert Williams, I go by Albert McKeehan witch is my family's Heritage Name, The McKeehan's were three brothers that came to the United States along time ago from Dublin. Well the rest is I was born in Hawthorn, California. 1962. Moved her in 1970 with my Dad Ted Williams and Brother Teddy Williams. We moved out here so my Dad could work at Y-12, He was a maintenance Electrician.
I live in Oak Ridge and left for a while to work mainly as a welder til 2000 when I became Disabled and that brings me to now. My Doctors said I needed a Hobie to relaxe and keep myself bossy. I suffer from Extreme Anxiety. That is how I found Tom how sold me a new DFX-300 Detector.
I first got Introduced to Metal Detecting in the 1980's by a girl friends family, Back then you spent a Lot of time digging up can top's, And other junk but ever now and then you would find something Farly nice. My friend's family did a Lot of digging around High Schools to find mainly class rings. The best thing I ever found was a cheap gold watch in my own back yard.
I am 47 now and I am very proud you let me join your club, And look forward to meeting all of you and finding some really cool stuff and sharing a Lot of great adventures together.

Albert Williams
P.S. Feel free to call me any time that you would want some one to go on a hunt with you.  865-206-9996 My Cell. Call or leave a massage any time

Well Al, I can see you have already been officially welcomed to the forums by Mr. Vision and Boaz. From now on I am going to call you Irish or Al or Irish Al which ever comes out first. I have to tag everyone like that or I can never keep up with all the folks. Mr. V. is right about one thing, with the advent of all the new powerful lawnmowers, grounds keepers don't bother picking up stuff before they mow. They just shred it all up. I have always been primarily a coin/jewelry hunter but have began branching out into relics especially CW era items. All those little pieces of aluminum can show up like nickels or small gold rings and the bigger pieces come in as quarters. It is so very frustrating and I don't care who it is we all get fooled from time to time. I wish we could completely ban all aluminum soda cans. Right now it seems for every one we dig up and put in the trash someone else is throwing down 10. As you explore the forum you will find places to post almost any type of find you make, places to just shoot the breeze, chat, ask for help, find a partner, or just hook up for a short hunt. By the way I didn't notice where you live. We have folks from all around the Ktown area and most of us don't mind driving. By the way I am pretty sure I know your dad. I spent a long time out at Y-12 and K-25. We will need to compare notes sometime.

My rightful surname is Brannon which is Irish. There's a similiar story about three brothers coming over on the same ship also in my family...now I'm wondering if it's just the standard Irish hand down story. lol

Anyways, welcome and good luck out there. It's getting hard to find places to hunt anymore.

P.S. I think I met you at Tom's this weekend. I was the guy with the sword.

My wife works at ORNL SNS I think I remember you mentioning your dad worked for ORNL also.
