Interstesting. I don't see any hooks or markings where the hooks would have been on the back. I would post this on Treasurenet under What Is It and see if someone can id it. Very nice piece what ever it is.

I've posted this on three forums this morning and have got a total of 5 replies. lulz

No, I wish it came from Loudon then I would be more inclined to think there is still stuff out there to be found. This was found by Jeremy's dad. His dad is the anti-relic hunter. He doesn't know why we waste our time going out looking for pieces of rust and lead. His dad came across this at one of his spots looking for old coins.

Dustin - Did you post it on Treasurenet? I couldn't find it. Treasurenet and Whites forum will get you a lot of replies under the What Is It catergory. It is like a race for people to be the first one to identify something.

Nobody seems impressed. I know I was pretty shocked when his dad sent us the video of it on Jeremy's phone.

I believe it to be a very valuable piece myself.
Would you mind if I sent a photo to my friend who may know what it is?

This wasn't found in Loudon.

Danny Moore recovered Tom Shuman's Buckle.
