I'm new to the club, but has there ever been an effort to have a organized CW hunt with the club, possible find a location and lease it for a weekend hunt? Just a thought, not sure how many people would be interesed in that.

There's a lot interested, but no one wants to do the foot work. It's been tried before, areas around here are few and far in between, land owners don't want hunts on their land.etc.etc.Always use the liability issue as an excuse.......

I gave Ralph a possible spot a while ago. It might be pretty good.

Montvale Springs was foreclosed on I believe......a lot of history there. Maybe the bank would let us hunt and take a portion of the finds, or just lease us a weekend. Who knows.......I'll try to find something out.

Please do it would help the club have more gatherings so the members could learn from the more experienced guys and gals and give us an opportunity to get all together. I have hunted ten different areas and haven't found so much as a coin yet. VERY FRUSTRATING!!!!! I'm sure its me and the sights I find, but still would think I would have found something.

Well, I made contact.....same response (no, they don't want the liability). However, my foot is in the door and I will keep it up. Smiley They are going to turn it into a camp for handicap kids. They already have equipment in there. So I will keep checking back. Has anyone checked for some sort of personal injury insurance to protect property owners? I am going to contact William Knight Ins. and see. Well, I will keep you updated.
