I think that is how I am supposed to post my first...lol...anyway...I am Mike, I do a little detecting and panning for gold. I have lived in Knoxville all my life(well except for my military travels.) and I really want to start getting into metal detecting more...and what better way to do that than joining a club.  I am looking forward to meeting everyone at the meeting this month.  See ya soon.

Howdy Mike and welcome to our club forum. Our next meeting is Sept. 13. We start arriving around 5:30 to eat and talk and the meeting begins at 7. Hope to see you there.
You have found a club that has several jokers in the deck. We have a lot of fun cutting up and going hunting together. We have 3 members who are dealers so if you need parts, repairs or new stuff they can help you out. By the way I'm Ralph the guy you emailed about joining. So welcome again and bring in some of your finds gold included and show them to us. Oh yeah what type of machine are you swinging?

All I have at the moment is the ACE 250 w/the 9x12 coil. But due to the current economy and my financial adviser(Jennifer, my wife) I am trying to sell things around the house( like my passed fathers Med-Lift chair, an amp and car audio speakers,an IPOD touch, a Nintendo DS Lite, and some Xbox 360 games) to upgrade to something a little better. I did have an older Bounty Hunter but I gave it to a buddy so I would have someone to detect with. I really do not know what to upgrade to but I know that Whites, Minelab, and Fisher are the Hype on every web site I have been on....but I like my machine and I will get another sometime,,,,I hope....lol...Once again thanks for all the welcomes. I am off from work on Sundays and Mondays..so I will definitely be there at the next meeting....My financial adviser has even set me aside 25 smacks to join the club.
