After three years of blood sweat and tears I can safely say the the children's home is nearing completion with only some small stuff left to do, or at least that was the way it was when I left at 1:30 am this morning. When I arrived back at 8:00 boy did I get surprised. Some good for nothing low down XXXXXXXXXXXX bust in one of the doors and stole between 5 and 6 thousand dollars worth of tools. They just about wiped me out completely, they did my son in law, and the man who was installing the stair railing got nailed pretty badly. Yes we have insurance on the property and the tools but everyone knows what happens when you contact them. You lose the deductible plus they never pay you full value for what was ripped off. So today was an almost completely wasted day between the police, the insurance company, and the neighbors. What really hurts is I left my worn out but still good looking belt sander lying in plain sight outside on the table where they walked right passed it and it didn't get stolen. Something I really needed replaced and it won't be. Shucks!!! So if anyone goes to the flea markets or visits any pawn shops in the area be on the look out for a very large amount of Ryobi 18 volt tools with lithium batteries. Look on the bottom of the tools and on the tops of the batteries where they connect to the tools for the initials EF or RW. If you find any call me cause they are some of our stuff. They stole Dewalt, Hitachi, Bosch, Ryobi, Senco, Passalode, Rigid, Craftsman and several other well known brand names in nailers, drills, saws, etc. etc. etc. So a word to the wise. Inventory your tools and keep a record of the serial numbers and what they cost and when you bought them. I have some but not all the info on mine. Now I get to waste another day going around buying replacement tools so I can get back to work!

OMG. Just when you were about to finish this up. Need to find a tall tree and short piece of rope. I hope you have some leads. Did they fingerprint anything?

Ralph sorry to hear of your loss. As a fellow victim( home was burglarized in 2006) I feel for you. Insurance would only pay for what WE could prove we had. I told the police who I suspected right off the bat and heard nothing. I ended up losing about five thousand that wasn"t covered by my insurance company. My wife still gets upset when she hears a song that she once owned on one of her cds.

No news, no leads, no suspects as far as we can find out. I don't want to see them in jail, it would just cost us all more money to feed and house them. Instead we should apply some far eastern punishment to them like chop off their right hand and brand them with a T on their forehead and not cover their medical bills.
